Aspen Cross returning the favor. Aspen leaned against the table, her skin ruffled by the cold. She decided to miss school, her first day was sure to be horrifying.
There were always three stereotypical groups that approached her; the nerds, the populars, and the delinquents. The nerds, who wanted nothing more than to be her friend, she always declined. The populars usually had some type of daft insult, which she returned with a swipe of her knuckle. The delinquents were nearly the same, though she usually came out more a sore loser.
Aspen sighed, her negativity getting the better of her. She didn't want to face those blundering buffoons. They didn't even know how to carry on a decent conversation. It may have been different; perhaps if they had an inkling of good taste, just maybe she could have made a friend. But Americans- gah. Just thinking about them upset her.
She fished around in her boot for her lighter, before coming up empty. "Damn it to hell!" she cursed, dragging her nails down her face in despair.
She fingered the carton of cigs in her pocket, already feeling deprived. Can I ask someone for a lighter..? works best in safari.
