OVERALL PERSONALITY;; Anna is a bit of a loner, for more than simply her love of books. She moved to Ramad during her sophomore year from a small town in Texas, and had a hard time making friends. She prefers the company of a good book to people, and when she's around others she prefers to observe them rather than interact with them. Perhaps it's just the writer in her clawing it's way to the surface, but she finds human interaction more interesting to observe rather than engage in. However, just because she isn't overly social in high school doesn't mean she isn't when off campus. Most of her friends are years older than her, and the few relationships she's been in have always been with guys she's seen around Ramad Community College. She doesn't really have many friends at the high school, however; they're more along the line of acquaintances, you could say. When she sees something she wants, she goes after it - even if right now it's just a full-ride scholarship to a university within a day's drive to her father/grandmother's house. But she watches over those that she befriends like a hawk, making sure that they don't take their antics too far, and being there to take care of them when they do. If there is one saying in the world that applies to her it is this: chocolate is a girl's best friend. Any time that she's upset, all she needs is a Hershey's kiss to make her feel better. She's very studious, though her head tends to be in the clouds during class, creating characters the adventures they will go on rather than repeat the Pythagorean Theorem for the umpteenth time. She shares her love of the Beatles with her father after school, along with the occasional debate on various topics. Though her father wasn't always able to engage in these conversations with her, it's nice to have him back and as mentally stimulating as ever.
OVERALL HISTORY;; Anna didn't have the best childhood. Her dislike for alcohol began when she was fourteen, after her parents got divorced and her dad started drinking more heavily than he used to. He was never abusive to her during these times, of course, but he allowed his nephew to live with them for awhile and was too out of it to see - or stop - what was happening under his roof for almost two years. One day, Anna built up the nerve to tell her dad what was going on. Her dad immediately threw her cousin out of the house and decided to move them to Ohio. Anna and her dad have spent the last two years living in Ramad with her grandmother while she finishes high school and works on honing her writing skills. Her father has been sober for two years, with the exception of one lapse around six months ago, and is currently working for a construction company two towns over. Annabel has had two boyfriends since she first moved to Ramad, though only one was serious enough for Anna to feel heartbroken once it was over. The youngest of the two was a Freshman in college during her Junior year at Ramad.
