OVERALL PERSONALITY;; elaine is a very sociable girl who frequently talks down to people. she believes she’s the best of the best, and everyone else should be aware of this simple fact. she has trouble having real friends that she isn’t just manipulating, or people that are just her followers. it’s very hard for her to get personal or close with anyone because she fears that people will manipulate and use her the way she uses other people. she’s not up for a taste of her own medicine anytime soon. she’s an extremely selfish young girl and won’t help you out unless there’s something in it for her. she’s not afraid to throw a “friend” under the bus at any given time as long as she comes out of the situation unscathed.
many people aren’t aware of what a manipulative, cunning piece of work ellie can be because she’s extremely good at playing the innocent “damsel in distress” role. she can take advantage of people and their emotions without them even realizing, and then it’s too late. she just seems so sweet and innocent to the teachers, too. they have no idea what goes on in that little head of hers.
though she acts like the preppy queen bee who rules the school, she’s actually an extremely smart girl who gets wonderful grades and loves to read. that’s a side that nearly no one sees. she doesn’t want people thinking she’s a nerd. so she simply lies about her grades and her gpa. it would be a disaster if anyone found out she was one of the smartest kids in her year.
OVERALL HISTORY;; elaine was born in this very town and was raised here ever since. her parents are both extremely wealthy with wonderful jobs. her father works for some sort of business, and he always has to go off to other states for meetings. sometimes even out of the country. it’s no secret that he’s having multiple affairs and has been ever since he and her mother married. her mother stays with him, though, for reasons ellie will never quite understand. perhaps it’s for the money.
her mother doesn’t make nearly as much as her father. but with what her father makes, they’re living very well. a wonderfully large house for such a small family. there’s even a barn with horses. of course there are maids and others that work there to clean up after the family because they’re too damn lazy to handle it themselves. and someone has to take care of the horses. elaine would never much out stalls. the horses are there to ride whenever she pleases, she shouldn’t have to clean up after them too.
anyway, her father was never around much when she was growing up, so she’s much closer to her mother. yes, this young lady has daddy issues. she seems to believe that all men are scum of the earth. absolute disgusting vermin. yes, she’ll sleep with them, if she gets something out of it. she’s not going to do it just to please them. and you’re insane if you think she’ll get close enough to one or ever dare be in a relationship with them. relationships are something she has vowed to never be in. ever. and she doesn’t believe in love.
with an absentee father, a mother who was clearly a little messed up in the head, and being an only child, elaine found out pretty quickly that she had a lot of freedom. so she took advantage of that, going out late and staying out, hitting up clubs, getting into drugs and alcohol on occasions, yet never getting caught. she has to do such things to be part of the in-crowd, right?
now it’s finally her senior year and she has no idea what she wants to do with her life after high school. college seems like the obvious choice. she has the scores to get her into some of the best schools in the country. but she has no idea what she wants to go for.
