I finished off my cigarette and then stomped it into the ground, as if to prevent a fire. I grabbed my water bottle out of my bag and took a swig before sitting it back down, and starting my stretches. I had started dance about five months ago, and I have danced everyday since. Either in the studio or here in the park. It was relaxing, and a healthy way to relieve my stress. Plus it made me more flexible. Which was a good thing, considering my favorite hobby was always more fun if you have good flexibility. I stretch for about ten minutes before getting up and starting my warm up dances. Which aren't much. Just a few ballet lifts and spins. After her warm ups, she started the real dance. She was performing in competition in a few weeks, and she had the longest solo. So she needed to get her dance routine down. She started her routine, and within a few minutes, was lost in the dance. She didn't notice anything going on around her. She was completely focused on her dance. Outfit; HereDance; here

Love Story by Taylor Swift plays in my ears as I jog through the paved path that winds through the woods. I pass a mother with a stroller, whom I smile at kindly, and a group of boys who hoot and holler as I pass. I roll my blue eyes. They were totally wasting their time. I slow to a walk as I exit the woods. I put my hands on my hips, panting slightly and I push my flyaway bangs out of my face- they were too short be up caught in the ponytail. I amble over to the water fountain, leaning down to slurp at the water. I straighten back up and make a face at how cold the water is and stretch down to touch my toes. I twist around to pop my back and pause when I notice an asian girl dancing. I raise my eyebrows and watch for a moment. She was good.. and hot. Really hot, actually. I shift from foot to foot in indecision before finally mentally kicking myself- what did I have to lose? I walk over and lean against a tree and put my arms over my head, still panting slightly from my run. I take a moment to organize my thoughts before saying "That's amazing." Lame, Alexis, totally lame. I could do better than that, but I didn't want to be like 'You're hot' and have her turn out to be straight.

I was in the middle of my routine, I was on a good streak. I had yet to mess up a step, when my concentration was broken by the voice of a girl. By the clarity of her voice I could tell she wasn't to far away from me. My leg had been up in the air, close to my head when she had interrupted, so I almost fell over. If it hadn't been for the tree to catch me I would have been flat on my ass. "Thanks." I muttered in a sarcastic tone and straightened myself out. I looked up and slipped back into my flip flops. The girl was very beautiful, hell, she was hot.
"When I get into my dancing, I don't notice anything going on around me. So how long have you been watching me?" I sat on the ground and started my closing stretches. I would have gone longer with my routine, but I knew I wouldn't be able to get back into it now. The girl would be stuck in my head all night. She was to hot not to be.

I feel bad when she's obviously startled and almost falls over, but instead catches onto the tree I'm leaning against to right herself. "Sorry." I blurt, my eyebrows connecting in an embarassed expression. I look down at my feet when she stands back up to slip into her flip flops before starting stretches. "Oh, not long. I was running and saw you." I reply, shrugging my shoulders slightly. I didn't want her to think I was a stalker, which I wasn't. "I'm Alexis, by the way.. and aren't you in my class? Like, a Senior?" I say, running my hands over my hair. I pull out the scrunchie to slip it onto my wrist and gather my hair abck again, hoping to get my bangs back. Sadly, this tactic doesn't work, but the lumps and bumps are out of my hair.

I'm about halfway through my stretches when I stop to take another sip of water. Quenching my thirst. "Yeah, I do believe we're in Chemistry together. Either that or gym." I start my stretches again and continue in silence for a few minutes before speaking again. "I'm Tabatha. But you can call me Tabby." I finish up my stretches and stand up. "Oh, so don't be weirded out. I tell everyone I meet this right off. So I can know if i'll get along with them or not later. I'm lesbian." I turn my phone back on and start scrolling through my phone. A few of my friends want to go out to see a movie, but i'm not really in the mood for it. So I tell them i'm busy with dance. "Anyway, i'm about to go grab some food. Wanna tag along?"

I nod slightly as she replies. Chemistry or gym.. I think it was gym. "Gym." I say, nodding slightly. I pop my fingers as Tabby stands back up after apparently finishing her stretches. I raise my eyebrows at her statement and chuckle. "Me, too. And I'm not just saying that." I reply, shrugging my shoulders slightly. I didn't want her to think that I was just saying that to appear cool to fit in- if she knew how much flack I got for it the thought wouldn't even cross her mind. "No girlfriends for me, though, all my friends are straigt, and don't want to ruin a perfectly good friendship." I add, smiling slightly. It was awesome to randomly meet another lesbian in a public place. "And I'd like to go; where you thinking?" I ask, putting my hands on my hips, rocking back and forth on my heels. It was something I did when waiting to go somewhere, or start a run, game, or round of golf- just one of those odd habits.

I cocked my eyebrows as she replies to my blunt statement. I would have never expected her to be lesbian too. She looks like one of those girls that would have guys all over her all the time. She looked like one of those Victoria Secret models. And my eyes shot up even more when she mentioned she didn't have a girlfriend. Her hot ass? No girlfriend? What was this shit? I must be dead. Because how could I have come across her? Things like that never happen to me. "Hhm. I would have pegged you as someone who would constantly have a girlfriend. I mean, your beautiful." I took another sip of my water and started walking. Only stopping to think about where we should go. "How about Zaxby's? They have the best wings in the world."

Her facial expression was hilarious. Eyebrow arch to full-blown raised eyebrowsin surprise. It was as if I was supposed to be straight, then was supposed to be in a relationship. If I knew someone else who was lesbian, maybe I wouldn't be single, but all my friends were straight and I rarely dated outside of my clique. "Well, thanks. I mainly know straight people. It sucks." I reply with a slight shrug before watching Tabby walk away and following a step behind her. "Would Zaxby's really take us in as we're dressed?" I ask doubtfully, looking at both of our sports bras, though maybe at her's a bit longer. Wasn't there the whole 'no shirt, no service' deal? But, then again, the doorman would probably let us in..
