OVERALL PERSONALITY;; Emmett is quite a laidback one, never let stuff get to him. Having a good sense of humor and flexibility in using words, he easily blends in every place. He never takes anything serious, unless it comes to his family, whom he hardly wants to be around. People love him, especially the ladies. The thought of settling down is very unlikely to cross his mind since love is only a playground for him. His relationships with girls hardly can last for longer than two weeks. But no worries. He’s a nice friend to you even he breaks up with you. Despite his being open-minded, there is a dark side inside him that no one can see. Emmett undoubtedly has a lot of friends but he trusts none. Always keeping proper distance and things to himself, no one really understands who he is. If someday you come across him and find him lost in thoughts, oddly quiet and pensive, you are looking at the real Emmett with a beating heart that does feel. As to his job, he is very dedicated. He is easy on you but that does not mean he will let you pass his tests easily.
OVERALL HISTORY;;
Being born with a silver spoon in his mouth, the first eighteen years of Emmet’s life was so easy – like a piece of cake. He had never been indigested, starving or miserable. He had what he wanted, never had to try to get anything. However, letting him live an easy life did not mean his family had no standards for him. At the position of the eldest child in a wealthy English family, his manners and his behaviors were supervised very tightly so as to keep the reputation for his family. He could have whatever he wanted but he had to give his family back what they asked: pride, reputation, money and relationships. Emmett could be considered a diplomat in the family. In most of the events the Diggory’s joined, his job was to get to know and gain the trust of some important people who would be useful for his family business in the future. So persuasive was he that people could hardly resist any of his offers. Also, his persuasion played another role in his life: Emmett Diggory - the name that makes the girls go crazy and the guys eat their hearts out. At school he was a snob – a terrible one who always made fun of those who were less fortunate than him. In the business battle field, he was a phony little potential businessman, who really knew how to make lies become pleasant to everyone. But to the ladies, no matter where he was, he was nothing but the heart thief. Always gentle, nice, kind and caring to every girl he met. But he never let himself fall for any girl. He would be happy to start a relationship with someone but it never remained long – normally only a week or two. He never kept in touch with his ex’s.
His mortal life soon came to and end when his parents announced the marriage they had arranged for him and the daughter of an influential businessman. Emmett – who had always been a good obedient son to his parents, for the first time in his life, went up against his parents. It was because of a very simply reason: he had done what he had never expected himself to do – falling in love. Strange as it sounded, he had his eyes on a very normal girl at school who was the only one to snap back when he said something to humiliate her or her friends. Her personalities attracted him, although he never admitted it to anyone, even himself. Thus, the arranged marriage was something he did not want to happen. He tried to convince his parents but the answer was always a resounding “no”. Before he could do anything stupid, the girl he was in love with was mysteriously missing. The day before his wedding, Emmett decided to run away. He ran all the way to California and worked as a Music teacher in a high school to earn a living.
